But you, Lord, are a shield around me, my glory, the One who lifts my head high.

Psalms 3:3

Welcome to Asher’s World!

In Fear Not: Asher's Invisible Shield, eight-year-old Asher feels anxious about returning to school after summer break. His mother's nightly prayer for a "hedge of protection" gives him comfort and helps him feel safe.

Faith

As someone who believes in Jesus Christ, my faith is closely linked to my commitment to prayer. Praying for your children in Jesus' name is one of the most powerful actions you can take as a parent. In John 16:23, Jesus assures us: "Truly, truly, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in my name, he will give you." Despite this promise, we as parents naturally worry about our kids: Will they fit in at school? Will their peers like them? Did they remember to bring all their homework home? And the list of concerns goes on. As we commit to praying for our children, we must remain faithful in what we pray for and pray that His will be done, not ours. It’s important to remember that prayer and seeking guidance can be a powerful source of comfort and strength, especially when we’re going through tough times.

Family

Family, to me, embodies love, support, and togetherness, creating a foundation where you know that someone will always have your back no matter what. It is a bond that goes beyond family ties, rooted in shared experiences, mutual care, and unwavering loyalty. In family, love is unconditional, offering a safe haven where you can be yourself without judgment. Support comes in many forms- whether it’s offering a listening ear (a big thank you to my husband), providing guidance (from mom or my sister), or simply being present during both happy and challenging times. Togetherness fosters a sense of belonging and unity, reminding us that we are never alone in facing life’s highs and lows. Ultimately, family is about knowing that there is a village of people who will stand by you (always), celebrate your successes and to help you through tough times regardless of the circumstances. Family is where my story begins, and it’s the love and support of my family that shapes who I am today.

Hi, My name is Jami Jacobs

Fear Not: Asher's Invisible Shield is the first children's book l've published. I believe God placed it in my heart to publish this book to help kids dealing with anxiety and the desire to feel accepted. We, as parents, can shield them with prayer, making everyday struggles a little easier to navigate.

In Fear Not: Asher's Invisible Shield, Asher Reign struggles with anxiety, the desire for acceptance, and the significance of faith.
Inspiration: My son is my inspiration for this book. As long as I can remember, I have been praying for him. I would pray and ask God to place a hedge of protection around him and let no weapons formed against him prosper. I used to—and still do—imagine a barrier or shield protecting him every moment of every day. Even now that he's an adult, I never stop praying for him.
