Isaac asked Asher a fun question: what do you like to do for fun in your free time? Here are Asher’s hobbies, in his own words.
“I love building things with my LEGO sets and spending time with my cousins.”
Asher’s Hobbies: LEGO and Cousins
Building with LEGO sets takes patience and imagination. Kids who build learn to try again when a piece doesn’t fit, and they feel proud of what they make. Spending time with his cousins is another favorite, because family time makes any activity more fun. Together, these hobbies show that play can be creative and kind at the same time.
Why Play and Family Time Matter:
Play is one of the best ways children learn. For example, building teaches problem solving, and playing with cousins teaches sharing and taking turns. As a result, kids practice kindness without even noticing. The Bible also values togetherness, because Ecclesiastes 4:9 says that two are better than one.
If your child likes to build, set aside a little time for it each week. Also, invite a cousin or a friend to join in. Asher’s stories show how teamwork and respect make every game better, and you can see that in the Soccer Edition.
3 Questions to Ask Your Child About Their Hobbies
- What do you love to build, draw, or play?
- Who do you like to spend free time with, and why?
- What could we do together this weekend?
Try these at dinner or before bed. Then, send Asher a letter to share what your child loves to do.
